Is Cannabis Legal in New York?
Yes. As of March 31, 2021, the New York State Legislature passed the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA), which legalized the purchase, possession, and use of cannabis products for adults 21 and older within a regulated market. The law also allows for the home cultivation of cannabis under specific guidelines. At Mighty Lucky, all products are fully compliant with state regulations and lab-tested for safety.

How is cannabis taxed in New York?
Cannabis purchases in New York are subject to several state and local taxes under the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA):
Local Sales Tax – 4% added at checkout.
New York State Sales Tax – 9% added at checkout (this is in addition to the Local Sales Tax 4%)

What kind of ID do you accept?
We accept valid, government-issued photo ID, including state IDs, driver’s licenses, and passports. IDs must be physical and unexpired.

What are the purchase limits in New York State?
Adults 21 and over may purchase and possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis flower or 24 grams of cannabis concentrates at one time. Concentrates include items such as vapes, edibles, oils, and extracts. All purchases must comply with New York State law.
